Tina Turner at 70

"I've never been concerned about my age and even today I don't think like a
70 year old woman" stated Tina Turner, who yesterday completed her seventh
decade. The rock legend's eight year hiatus put her back on the stage just
when others are becoming friendly with their memories of the past. But to
her this milestone day is just the start of something new. Even though in
2000 she felt the mini-skirted leather outfitted Tina Turner was over, today
she feels she will be still going strong with her concerts at age 100.
"I never once thought I was too old for anything" said the singer in an
interview with Saga magazine. "Even when at age 47 I left Ike Turner to
start a solo career. Of course, if my face fell off due to too much plastic
surgery or I couldn't fit in some old clothes of yesteryear, then I might
see it differently. I would be concerned and throw in the towel if the day
demanded I be that Tina Turner."

"But for me this flows naturally. Even during the hectic fray, with just a
little attention, Turner at 70 can still maintain. Plastic surgery, miracle
diets were never involved but rather a much simpler and natural regime is
all I needed for my system."
